Services » Landscape Management
Landscape Management is more than providing services to maintain landscapes; it involves routine inspection, educated input, constant assessment, environmental improvement, and sound balance. We practice philosophies of Environmental Landscape Management (ELM) and believe when fully utilized can reduce maintenance cost, eliminate wasteful pollution, and preserve valuable resources. Every property managed by Wilhelm Bros. whether residential, commercial, or rural, goes through an initial assessment which involves the clientele. This assessment details current condition of existing property, suggested improvements based on clientele desires and needs, while listing sound solutions, and provides a time line so that goals will be achieved. Each year with renewal of management contracts the assessment is revised and amended based on changes that have taken place throughout the prior year. Mother Nature is always changing, the key to balancing landscapes is to adapt.
Our Environmental Landscape Division is composed of three interior divisions; Turf Management, Bed & Ornamental Management, and Environmental Control. Our Water Wise Irrigation and Environmental Arboriculture divisions are constantly communicating with account managers so all aspects of the landscape are being analyzed. Our crews are managed by educated Supervisors that keep up to date with current changes in Florida’s horticulture. Our education is obtained from UF IFAS, LMA, FNGLA, ISA, and other trade associations associated with Florida’s Landscape. Our account managers perform frequent inspections of properties in addition to crew visits to assure complete customer satisfaction. Our quality is based on the finished product of our service.
Interior Division Breakdown
Turf Management
Our crews perform full turf management for all varieties of Florida’s turf grass. Each account is inspected before and after service for issues and quality of the property. Crew Supervisors are certified in Best Management Practices and are educated in environmental management or Florida’s properties. Our turf division is comprised of educated supervisors with experienced crews. All crew members are educated in proper horticultural landscape practices and are familiar with Florida Turf Grass and Lawns.
Bed & Ornamental Management
Our crews perform full service management to all Florida’s varieties of ornamental plants, grasses, annuals, perennials, & beds. Our employees provide a personal gardening service and prune plants based on characteristics and needs to develop growth. Our ornamental division is comprised of employees who are experienced in all phases of shrub and tree maintenance, insect identification and Integrated Pest Management, nutritional needs and the general health and care of Florida foliage.
Environmental Control
Environmental control is the management of ornamentals, plants, grasses, beds, turf, and trees through responsible Integrated Pest Management and a similar approach to fertilization and herbicide application. Our Pest Control License holder stays in close contact with the Dept. of Agricultural and Consumer services and holds weekly training for all of our employees that are cardholders. Fertilization management involves the application of county approved fertilizers to plants, turf, and trees. Our fertilizer is chosen following an annual soil test which is included at no additional cost. We believe plants, trees, and palms should be fertilized only following the discovery of nutritional deficiency. Over fertilization promotes excessive growth and contributes to shallow root systems which decrease the ability of a plant to withstand stress.
